Christmas 2017 Playlist
It’s almost Christmas which means it’s socially acceptable for me to share my Christmas Playlist with you all. On an honest level, I’ve been listening to Christmas music since November. Here are ten of my favorites!
Jesus is the Reason for the Season by Kirk Franklin Kirk Franklin’s entire Christmas album is a classic for my family! It’s full of gospel hits that remind me of the reason for the holiday.
O Come, All Ye Faithful by Pentatonix It’s no secret that the Pentatonix basically run Christmas. They’ve literally won Grammys for their Christmas albums. This is one of my favorites by them.
Santa Tell Me by Ariana Grande I’d be lying if I told y’all I don’t listen to this once a day during the Christmas season. It’s a certified HIT in my eyes. On top of that the music video is really fun.
Sleigh Ride by TLC “UP UP AND AWAY! We’re flying in a sleigh” This is truly a 90s-fied version of a traditional Christmas song in a way only TLC could do it. I love it.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays by *NSYNC This song is guaranteed to have me in the Christmas spirit! It’s got everything you’d want from a boy band plus a fun sing-a-long chorus section at the end. Truly a pop hit.
Baby It’s Cold Outside by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong Hands down my favorite version of this song. These two are absolute legends and I love a good jazzy Christmas song.
Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer by DMX The official recorded version is on my playlist, but how this song came to be is more iconic than the song itself. Don’t sleep on DMX! He got y’all with the Christmas classics.
Let it Snow by Boyz II Men ft. Brian McKnight If I had a boo, this would definitely be his ringtone during Christmas time. The amount of R&B smoothness and soul added to such a simple song is incredible.
Someday at Christmas by Stevie Wonder I love how some Christmas songs fully capture the times they were made in. Right around the time this song came out, there were a lot of songs about wanting peace for the world. It’s a beautiful thing that this could be portrayed through music. We definitely shouldn’t forget this mindset!
This Christmas by Chris Brown The movie This Christmas is another classic for my family! We can’t let the holiday go by without watching it. On top of that, Chris is SINGING on this song.
Due to my love for Christmas you can probably guess there are many more Christmas songs I love. Check out my full playlist and enjoy this holiday season!
